Vintage West German Glass Cross Intaglio Earrings

This is a rare find! An beautiful cross and scalloped edge was hand pressed into leaded glass, which was then coated in a metallic vitrail finish and fire polished. They are then wire wrapped in sterling silver below a Swarovski® crystal.
*WARNING* Pendants are made from leaded crystal and the coating may contain lead.
Description
This is a rare find! An beautiful cross intaglio image and scalloped edge was hand pressed into leaded glass, which was then coated in a metallic vitrail finish and fire polished. The pendants, also known as crystal painting pendants or revers carved pendants, are then wire wrapped in sterling silver below a Swarovski® crystal. Earrings measure approx. 2-1/2″ including sterling silver ear wires.
These focal beads were made in West Germany in the 1950s and hidden in a New York City warehouse until recently. We purchased every remaining cross in the warehouse, so these are exclusive to Sky Blue Designs.
