This is a rare find! An exquisitely detailed rose intaglio image and scalloped edge was hand pressed into leaded glass, which was then fire polished and hand painted. They are then wire wrapped in sterling silver below a Swarovski® crystal.

Description
This is a rare find! An exquisitely detailed rose intaglio image and scalloped edge was hand pressed into leaded glass, which was then fire polished and hand painted. The pendants, also known as crystal painting pendants or reverse carved pendants, are then wire wrapped in sterling silver below a Swarovski® crystal. Earrings measure approx. 2-1/2″ including sterling silver ear wires.
These focal beads were made in West Germany in the 1950s and hidden in a New Yok City warehouse until recently. We noticed that the paint began to lift away from the indentation and create a silvery effect on the edge. Please use caution in cold areas.
